A meaning of Constanta

A meaning of Constanta has more than one different etymologies. It has same or different meanings in other countries and languages. The different meanings of the name Constanta are:
Latin meaning: Steadfast
English meaning: Constancy
Romanian meaning: Steadfast
Originally known as Tomis in antiquity, the city was later renamed Constantiana after Flavia Julia Constantia, sister of the Roman emperor Constantine the Great, it was first attested as Constantia.
